InvoiceKit is a small set of browser-based document tools for people who bill other people for a living: freelancers, studios, contractors, and one-person service businesses. Every tool on this site runs entirely in your browser - the invoice form, the totals, and the PDF export all execute on your own device, which is why we can keep them free and why we have almost nothing to store about you.
They exist because the accounting suites that offer invoicing as a feature are priced and designed for bookkeepers, not for the person who needs one PDF before a client call. The target for each page here is the same: land on it, fill in real fields, leave with a finished document, in about two minutes, without creating an account.
What we do with your data
Nothing leaves your machine while you type. Drafts and the invoice numbers you have used are stored in your browser's own local storage, so they are still there next time you visit from the same device, and they disappear if you clear site data or use another device. There is no account system, no uploaded logo, and no server-side copy of your client list. The privacy page lists the few things that are recorded anonymously, and the contact page works if you want any of it removed.
How it stays free
Hosting is static, so the running cost is close to zero. The generator itself - every field, every layout in the free set, and unlimited single-invoice PDF downloads - stays free and is not going behind a paywall. What pays the bills is InvoiceKit Pro: a subscription for people who keep a running list of invoices and want batch PDF export, CSV export for accounting, the extra layouts, and no attribution line in the footer. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details.
